ARS Marks the 80th Anniversary of ‘Children’s Day’

The Church of Apostles Revelation Society marked the 80th celebration of its Children’s Day which was observed by all branches of the Church worldwide.

According to history, Prophet CKN Wovenu, the founder of the Church began the Church with 24 Children after he received his missionary call at Akwatia. This led to the formation of the Children’s prayer group in the Church with the mission of being the spiritual bedrock guiding the Church through its spiritual warfare.

The Children’s day is an affirmation of children and those who work with children. It is a celebration of the relationships we enjoy, past experiences, and rough spots we have gone through the life we share together. It is a time to remember that our children are a gift from God as well as what God has done for our Children.

It is a time for the inclusion of children in special and meaningful worship experiences to involve them in the life of the church. It is a time for modelling love and encouraging parents and teachers in their relationships with their children. Likewise, children model for us the ways that we can be open to the gifts of the Spirit.

More so, it is a time to rejoice in God’s presence, guidance, comfort, power, companionship, and assurance for all of which are given to our children through the Spirit.

The Children’s day which is valued in the Church as it is seen as one of the pillars that led to the foundation of the Church brings out various talents in the Children and it is honoured with stunning performances which include, Reciting of Bible verses, Choreography, Singing, Cultural display etc.
