The Ghana Red Cross Society in partnership with Health4ARS successfully rolled out a 2-day intensive and certified professional First Aid Training which took place at Miracle Life Hospital, Ho.
According to observations and assessment of the previous anniversaries of the Apostles Revelation Society made by Health4ARS detailed that, people usually have minor injuries during anniversary which needed immediate management before transporting the casualty to the hospital for treatment that is basically the role of First Aid.
At the training, First Aid was defined as the immediate assistance or care given to a casualty before the arrival of the medical team or transporting the casualty to the hospital.
The main aim of organizing this program is to;
- Preserve or serve life
- Prevent injuries
- Promote recovery and
- Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) when need.
With reference to the definition and the aims of the training, the participants were impressed and promised to deliver such services to their members during this year’s anniversary (79th) to promote the health of the entire congregation of Church.
Mr. Gershon Dzokoto, the Regional Manager of Ghana Red Cross Society in Volta Region was the facilitator for the training.
Health4ARS is a volunteer group of Health professionals, students and associates in the Church of Apostles Revelation Society (ARS), whose aim as a group is to dedicate their knowledge and skills to provide services to the society. They also provide medical screening, health education as well as other carry out other health initiatives intended to inure to the benefit of society.
