The Church of Apostles Revelation Society, Greater-Accra Region on Sunday successfully rolled out its annual choral completion at Abelenkpe.
This year’s choral competition had choirs categorised into Zones where choirs where emerged to perform together.
The Sempe ARS Choir and Gallia No.1 ARS Choir, Madiina Central ARS Choir and Adenta ARS Choir, Toman ARS Choir and Pokuase ARS Choir, Anaya ARS Choir and Olebu ARS Choir, Abelenkpe ARS Choir and Iron City ARS Choir were in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4 and Zone 5 respectively.
One of the outstanding values the Church was built on is Music and this competition has once again clearly defined that this value will never depart from the Church.
All the Choirs performed tremendously and their dexterity in music was once again shown during the competition. The official songs that were chosen for the competition were ‘Makafui Afetor Fe Dormenyonyo’, hymn number two in the Church’s hymn book and ‘Esi Afetor gado ny3 dukor te’.
After hours of the singing battle, the Judges, Rev. Thywill Anagbonu and Bless Brain Agbley gave their judgement. The choirs were graded based on their performances.
At the end of the competition, the Zone 2 and 5 had grade A which is the highest in the grading system. The Zone 3 had B+ and Zone 1 and 4 were awarded grade B.
The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Edwin Ahiave thanked the audience for the support and he also admonished the various choirs to continue to hold onto their faith by using music to preach the gospel.
