Senior RSM Rev.Mrs. Kafui Akrofi’s Welcome Address at the 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Women Council of the Church of Apostles Revelation Society, Greater – Accra Region

The Apostle-in-Charge, RSMs, Greater Accra Regional Council of Elders, Choirs, the Youth Executives, the Women Council Executives, the Entire Women Council Members, our friends from A.R.S Digital Media, Invited Guest, Ladies and Gentlemen. It is my joy and singular honour to humbly welcome you to the 60th Anniversary celebration of the Women Council of the Church of Apostle Revelation Society.

OUR THEME FOR THE ANNIVERSARY IS “WOMEN OF DESTINY, ARISE AND SHINE.”

Our pioneers of old did so much within their means and times and many have built on their efforts. The mantle has fallen on us and is our turn now to continue from where they left off. Beloved, it is our turn; what do we do? We must put our individual talents and resources together.

As Anna the widow in the Bible, we should not dwell on our circumstances, let us use our “disadvantages” to serve the Kingdom goals as she did. Our resources must be used to build the Church for the benefits of many.

To be able to achieve this, we must put away all negative tendencies and forge ahead as one people with a common destiny under the banner of Jesus Christ. By so doing our light will continue to shine for others to see and embrace the work of God and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. As women of the Church, we must strive as much as possible to be at peace with one another as it is written in Roman 12:18.

Let us eschew bitterness, anger, strife and things that brings division among us. Because it takes our turn to allow unconditional love of God to work through us and bind us together for God’s work.

As we celebrate this anniversary, it is my prayer and wish that the vision of our founding Father the late St. Prophet C.K.N Wovenu, outlined in his Council of Saint’s booklet (Amekokoe Fe Fomedodo) will not be lost and members should continue to abide by the tenents of the book. This would go a long way in nurturing our young ones to become good mothers in the Church and the world.

Apostle-in-charge, RSMs, Distinguished Guests, we appreciate you for honouring our invitation in spite of your busy schedules. This is our home, very fraternal home of course. I entreat everybody to feel free in the house.

Find it necessary to forgive one another in case there is any misunderstanding.

I wish you a peaceful stay.

Thank you.
