ARSSU Holds First Delegate Congress in Accra

The Apostles Revelation Society Student Union (ARSSU), the solitary student body of the Church of Apostles Revelation Society holds its first delegate congress hosted by UPSA Chapter.


This year’s congress was the first of its kind after many factors were considered to have only delegates from all ARSSU chapters partcipating. It was the beginning of the change to have a delegate congress every two years.

The congress is to elect new executives and also apprise members on the financial report of the union.

On Friday, all nominees were present for vetting prior to the main event which took place on the next day (Saturday).

The vetting process was successful and nominees were approved to contest for the general election base on their ability to prove themselves well in the following areas; Appearance, Knowledge About the Union, Knowledge of the Position Contesting, Ability to be a Team Player, Commitment at Church Level, Commitment at Chapter Level, Ability to Introduce New Ideas to Strengthen the Union, Ability to Communicate effectively.

The electoral process was free and fair which had all the nominees endorsed by the delegates to take up the mantle in their various positions.

The financial report presented by Mr. Godsway Ganyo and Mrs Belinda Gbadago, the past and new elect financial secretary and the outgoing treasure respectively for ARSSU was to inform the delegates on the state of its finance.

The chairman of the event, the current alumni coordinator, Mr. Timothy Setorglo speaking to the delegates empower them to continue to strengthen the union at their various chapters and advised they exercise a maximum level of commitment to make the union grow.
